The King and I

The multi award-winning Broadway production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I returns to London’s West End, following its record-breaking season at The London Palladium and sell-out UK Tour.

Starring the critically-acclaimed Helen George (best-known for her role as the iconic Trixie in Call The Midwife) as Anna, don’t miss this “sumptuous” (Times) and “breath-taking” (New York Times) production of the musical classic. The King and I is the greatest musical from the golden age of musicals – with one of the finest scores ever written featuring hits Whistle a Happy Tune and Shall We Dance. Brought to life by Tony Award-winning director Bartlett Sher (South Pacific, My Fair Lady, To Kill a Mockingbird), this gloriously lavish production will feature a world-class company of over 50 West End and Broadway performers.

A strictly limited London season at the Dominion Theatre – for just 6 weeks only – this simply is the most gloriously romantic production in the West End. Book now for performances from 20 January – 2 March 2024.

  • EXCELLENT

    23 February 2024

The show was excellent. The children were brilliant, acting and some had exceptional voices. Also the leading couple brilliant ,I didn't know that HELEN GEORGE had such a wonderful voice.

  • Not my cup of tea

    18 February 2024

Took the MIL She loved it My least favourite musical of all time Over acted, shrill voice of ‘call the midwife’ actor. Not a particularly spectacular set but it is a lovely theatre Had great seats but expensive compared to other musicals I’ve been to

  • An amazing show

    17 February 2024

Thoroughly enjoyable experience, fantastic sets and costume design. Lead actors perfectly cast, some beautiful voices. Lovely to experience a live orchestra. A drama to get lost in. Very comfortable, well designed spacious theatre. Thank you for a brilliant evening out.

  • No Helen George

    15 February 2024

I enjoyed the performance. But my main/only reason for booking it was to see Helen George. You can imagine how disappointed I was to realise it wasn’t her in it. There wasn’t even an announcement advising of this. All the adverts say come and see her in the king and I.
