The American Clock

Starring Sule Rimi (Sweat).

For them the clock would never strike midnight, the dance and the music could never stop...’

The American Clock turns and with it, fortunes rise and fall. In 1929 in New York City the stock market crashed and a generation’s lives were changed. Facing an unforgiving future in a once-familiar world, we follow a broken community as they summon the courage to work out how to live.

In an exciting and unconventional staging, visionary American director Rachel Chavkin (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, Hadestown) transforms Arthur Miller’s adventurous play into a time-travelling reflection on the formation of modern America.

Whilst the performances were very good across the board the production could probably use cutting by twenty-ish minutes in my opinion.
