Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour
Following sold out seasons at the National Theatre, Edinburgh Festival Fringe and UK Tour, the smash hit, award-winning new play Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour transfers to the West End for a strictly-limited season.
From the creator of Billy Elliot (Lee Hall) comes the uplifting and moving story of six Catholic choir girls from Oban, let loose in Edinburgh for one day only. Funny, heartbreaking and raucously rude, Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour is adapted from Alan Warner’s brilliant novel, and directed by Vicky Featherstone.
Featuring the songs of ELO, Our Ladies is a glorious anthem to friendship, youth and growing up disgracefully. Prepare thyself for….really rude language, flashing lights, pyrotechnics, lots of sexual references, excessive drinking, and extensive use of the smoke machine.

★★★★ "Raucous. A fun and filthy torrent of songs, sex and swearing." - Time Out
★★★★ "A big-hearted, fearless portrait of adolescence, fuelled by songs and sambuca." - Evening Standard
★★★★ "An absolute blast, full of filth and fury, wit and wonder." - The Times
★★★★ "A joyous, moving musical riot. One of the great theatrical experiences of the year." - Daily Telegraph

The stage school learned 'Scottish Accent' was unintelligible at times, even to my partner who has lived and worked in several Scottish regions for many years. Whilst we were warned that the play contained very strong language it seemed that every sentence uttered contained at least one unnecessary F****ing and one C***ing . If all the swearing that neither added to the story line or the comedy was removed from the dialogue the play would probably be at least 30 minutes shorter. The play was quite confusing because at certain points you were expected to realise that one or more of the mini-skirted girls were actually playing the roles of men who were trying to hit on one or more of the other girls. Despite having won an award for best new comedy - very few people in the audience managed to find anything to laugh about. This is the least funny comedy I have ever seen and was not worth even the reduced ticket prices paid. I would not recommend this play to anyone. DEFINITLY DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN.

One of the very best shows I've ever seen. Brilliantly performed, great script, fabulously directed. Don't miss this show. Hilarious and moving.

Well done -just tough for an American to understand

The performance was terrific - great vocals- thoroughly enjoyed the music. My only challenge was as an American, the fast-talking unfamiliar accent was a challenge so I missed some of the humor. I enjoyed the performance and would see it again, but know my inability to completely catch the jokes caused others in the audience to laugh more than I did.

Quite a shock

Singing was fantastic. Being pensioners some of the humour was above our heads but there were memorable moments and some touching dialogue
