An excellent show, Tommy Steele was incredible, his voice is still as good as ever in spite of his movement being a little restricted, not bad for an 81 year old !! We booked our tickets the day before online and were extremely pleased with our seats. great value for money .

As a fan of Glenn Millers music, I was extremely impressed with the band and the big band numbers were great. Unfortunately the rest of the show didn't live up to it due to the casting of Tommy Steele as Glenn Miller. There was just no getting away from the fact that it was an 80 year old playing a 40 year old. While his vocals were fine, he couldn't really contribute to the dancing and the musical theatre aspects of the show were weakened as a result. The rest of the cast are excellent, particularly the actor playing Chummy.
It's fairly obvious that the show was only produced for Tommy Steele to star in as he obviously loves Glenn Miller. It would have just been better for him to have performed in a tribute concert with a big band rather than a fairly meandering musical.
Despite this, he received a partial standing ovation as the theatre was awash with his loyal fans.
So as I said in the title, if you love Tommy Steele then you will love it. If you love Glenn Miller then you'll have to persevere with him.

Overall we found the show enjoyable and Tommy Steel is a real trouper, however there was too much narrative and not enough music for our liking.
Some of the musical numbers were cut short and there are so many great Glen Miller tunes, I wanted to hear more that the rather limited number in the show. Great to see Tommy connect with the audience, especially in the en-core session at the end, but as Glen Miller he was not convincining. Discounted tickets so satisfied, but may have not felt that way had we paid full price.

Show was fantastic.. Theatre is beautiful and staff helpful, an all round good experience. We had row A dress circle seats so the view was great but leg room more restricted than some rows further back. If you're tall like us would recommend a couple of rows back.

I have been a Tommy Steele fan for the last 64 years or so. How he manages to dance (well, move in time to the music) as he does is nothing short of fantastic.
Great production , great cast, great music.
Not only all the fabulous Glen Miller stuff, but Tommy and the cast sing so well.
The scene changes were amazing, and the sound made it come alive

Really enjoyed the show: Tommy Steele's good nature was infectious, and he moved and sang pretty well for an old 'un. Great supporting cast, and a superb troupe of dancers who really stole the show. Great band, too. A comprehensive run-through of Miller's life, and the music is of course irresistible. Recommended.

Was not sure what this was going to be like love Millers musical but this is touring show coming in for a short West End run Have seen Tommy Steele previously and knew he had real star presence but playing Miller at the age of 81 - will this work? The answer is a definite yes.
Highly entertaining show with good production values that are as good as any other West End musical Tommy Steele remains a great star and leads an excellent company that includes the superb Marti Web

Took my Mother to see the show not expecting it to be my cup of tea. How wrong was I..... from the 1st moment to the last it was full on music, dance and fantastic story based on true facts. It had warmth and humour running throught it. The band were just brilliant and the sound really made you feel where there in the 40's. The icing on the cake..... TOMMY STEELE. Despite his age he was just fantastic. Close yoyr eyes and the voice and is there. The cheecky face and smiling eyes shine out. Not a dancing roll for him but he did do a few light moves about the stage. Whole heartedly recommend it to anybody with or without Tommy Steele as the main roll.

The Glen Miller Story was like a trip back to the 1940s! I couldn’t keep my feet still! Brill music and dancing. Tommy Steele made us feel like we were part of the show! Great, poignant story. Loved it! I will be buying a gramaphone and listening to Glen Miller around the house now...

Me and my husband went yday and we loved it. The Glenn Miller Music & Band were brilliant. Loved the cast and their tap dancing was fabulous. Best of all we loved Tommy Steele who we have both always loved his films and music you would never believe he’s in hs 80s he can still sing and move around. Absolutely loved it
