  • Great Fun

Great fun with excellent use of a semi-presentational style. Agatha Christie’s characters come to life and delight you with their timeless quirkiness. It’s easy to see how this play has run for 70 years. More to think about than a murder and more to entertain than a mystery.

  • Timeless gem

    12 May 2023

The play was funnier and more charming than I was anticipating. And the coziness of the theatre also adds to the ambience and pleasure of the night. The audience was very well behaved and good humoured although I was unlucky to be seated next to someone was clearly sick and was coughing and snorting. In this post-pandemic era we're all much more sensitive about being around coughers and splurgiers. Nevertheless, the play is still a timeless gem.

Although we really enjoyed the play we were very disappointed with the bar. We pre-ordered drinks before and for the interval. The pre show was fine, but the repeat for the interval was a disaster. We were given soda instead of tonic and when we querried the order, the bar tended argued with us that it was what we ordered. We have now checked and he was incorrect. Although this may seem a small matter, it spoilt our evening.
