A great show for toddlers

We took our two grandchildren to this show on Saturday. They are aged two and two and a half. They were absolutely transfixed and thoroughly enjoyed it. The theatre staff were very helpful and friendly all in all a memorable afternoon.

My little boy didn't stop smiling from the start of the show to the end. Was utterly transfixed and lost in the wonder of it all. The cast were superb, and loved the interaction with the audience... absolutely brilliant!

Not as good as hoped

Could have had more interaction and fun things going on. Songs were few and far between and not very catchy for kids. Costumes were a little low budget and not obvious enough for little children. Our toddler watched it but she wasn’t very animated like she normally is at a show despite it being her favourite book. Felt it was a bit too abstract and not as fun and bouncy as a children’s theatre production should be.

After telling my Grandson he was going to see Stickman we thought rather than an actor hold a small stick there would be a larger representation of Stickman.
It seemed rather odd and strange to a child that thinking they would see Stickman they got a man holding a stick instead. I’m sure you could do better with a proper costume or something.

Really high quality performance with talented cast. Went along at a good pace and kept the attention of our 2.5year old with fun interaction.
Only dropped a star as the cost was relatively high compared to other similar shows we have gone to (and a lot more in London compared to other cities on the tour).
