Bought tickets for my husband for Christmas. I’m not a great football fan but went with him and I’m so glad I did. This is an outstanding play , funny , serious and also sad bits. The acting was outstanding as you would expect Lovely to see Joseph Fiennes playing Gareth Southgate ( stunning resemblance) and also nice to see him playing a nice person instead of a commander! Well worth seeing and I would go again. Highly recommended.

Amazing show all round, bringing together all the emotions and telling a familiar story in a witty and endearing way. Some incredible performances bringing laughter and the inevitable disappointment of England and penalty shootouts, a feelgood evening very much needed at this time of year!

Totally loved this show from beginning to end. I am not a football fan but am married to one so know a bit but this was great just in itself. Joseph Fiennes was phenomenal and equally the rest of the cast. Fun, uplifting and a message that its OK to lose

An excellent show. Brilliantly written , it was thoroughly entertaining, witty and well acted. Loved the use of projection and archive footage. It was moving as well as funny and we were very pleased to have been able to see it.

This production was absolutely brilliant. Funny, poignant and fast. I loved Gareth (not performed by Fiennes) but he was magic. The hand gestures and voice, pace of speech.
It was a family outing, husband and 9 year old. I was not a massive footie fan but have been since Gareth. As a 50 year old women, daughter of an Indian immigrant , the beautiful game didn’t seem like it belonged to people like me.
Gareth changed all that. He is, I think, one of the most important people in popular culture who took a stand for what he believed in, Harry and the rest of the lads too. They created a different kind of football and that opened the door to people like me to the game, made me feel l belonged- and I never left!!
This play is for everyone. Intelligent, thought provoking, moving, funny….i could go on- but just go and see it yourself, is my advice!!

Exceeded our expectations in all respects. The acting throughout was superb - and all members of the cast seemed to enjoy the experience. The set was memorable; and is design outstanding. For a couple of non-footballing octogenarian grandparents taking their teenage grandsons to a Christmas treat it couldn't have been bettered.

Hadn’t expected to find this as amazing as it turned out to be. It was funny, enlightening and such a riveting fast moving play. I adored the characterisation of each of the players and their mannerisms. The transitions between the action was as much a feature of the play as the actual words.

Possibly the best play I have ever seen. I am not generally a footie fan but I have certainly lived through the whole England World Cup/Euros saga and could therefore relate to and appreciate every moment of this very cleverly staged show. I had to do a double take as i actually thought some of the cast WERE the people they were meant to be, it had me laughing one minute, and on the edge of my seat, heart pounding, the next.
